Turakina (Ship : 1883-1899)

Sailing ship, built in 1868 as the `City of Perth'. In 1883 purchased from the City Line by the New Zealand Shipping Company, and renamed `Turakina' (the first ship of this name owned by the NZSCo); in 1899 sold to Norway and renamed `Elida'. See internet: www.theshipslist.com/ships/lines.
