McGuire, Felix, 1847-1915

Member of Provincial Council for Patea in 1873 until abolition of the provinces, after which he became chairman of the county council. First mayor of Hawera, and later Member of Parliament for Egmont. In 1896 the Hawera seat was created and he represented it until 1902 (for fuller details see Dictionary of New Zealand biography / Scholefield)
