Description: Two members of the Historic Places Trust Classification Committee stand in front of St Gerard's Church and Monastery in Hawker Street, Wellington, where the monastery has gone up for sale. At first they classify it as having a "B" grade status, but when a black cloud and lightning appear above their heads, they quicky change the status to "A", and the cloud rolls away emanating muttering noises The monastery was registered in 1984, before it went up for sale in 1988, due to increasing rates and declining numbers. It is thought that the character on the right in the cartoon might represent Mr Thornton, who was Deputy Chairman of the Classification Committee at the time, but this is not certain; nor is it certain if the cartoon appeared in the Dominion Post in 1988 Inscriptions: Recto - bottom centre - Eric Heath [in ink]; Verso - top left - 13 May 1988 [stamp] Quantity: 1 original cartoon(s).
