Description: Head and shoulders view of a Vanuatuan woman, with a child looking over her right shoulder. She has her hair enclosed in a fabric turban, and a shell is suspended with links as a form of necklace, but attached to both ears From a drawing by William Hodges, made from life on Cook's 2nd voyage, now in National Library of Australia Poet and artist William Blake was an apprentice of 5 years' standing at the time this work was engraved in the workshop of James Basire in London.
