Description: An oral history interview with William (Bill) Bernard Boyd, conducted by interviewer Megan Hutching. Topics cover: his early life; family history including living in Days Bay, Eastbourne, and the family grocery and bookshop businesses; his career at Gordon & Gotch; and his experience and reflections on his involvement in the Rotary Club, including serving as President of Rotary International 2006-2007. Includes mention of Bill and Lorna Boyd Charitable Trust, and polio eradication efforts. Lorna Boyd, wife of Bill, was present during the recording and has been included in responses from Bill during the interview. Interview materials include digital photographs of William (Bill) Boyd with his wife Lorna Boyd. Title supplied by Library. Rotarian Bill Boyd was President of Rotary International in 2006/2007, only the second New Zealander to hold that position.
