Description: Booklet issued as part of an event to raise finds for a Pioneer Women's hall in Auckland, as a community centre for women. The project was started by Miss Ellen Melville, an Auckland solicitor and City councillor who died in 1947 [ie 1946]. The Caravanserai (based on the Turkish idea of a public building erected for the shelter of caravans) was an exhibition of goods from many countries of the world.
