Description: Volume includes an index and pharmaceutical recipes for medical cures as well as directions on how to make household items like black ink, furniture cream, and toilet vinegar. Also notes of a general nature, newspaper cuttings, and advertising labels. One example is a pharmaceutical label in Māori for a cough mixture "Te Ringita o Tapu - He Rongoa Mare Mare" (page 93).
