Description: Panoramic view of the Rotorua Government Sanatorium in the centre. Borders and formal gardens along a path in the centre, band rotunda on the far side of a large area of bowling greens on the right. Mature trees and lawns across the image. A man wearing a bowtie, holding a hat is leaning against the back of a garden seat in the centre of the image. There are garden seats all round th lawn on the right. A sports pavilion is visible in the middle distance beyond the lawns, and the gardener's cottage is on the right on a slight hill among trees. Roadways and paths link the heritage buildings.
