Description: Looking down over a campsite in Otehei Bay, Urupukapuka Island, Bay of Islands. Communal buildings centre right, small cottages behind, and four tents on the right. Washing on a clothes-line behind. Sloping hills all around. Long jetty out over mud-flats to the water with a launch and a rowing boat at the foot of steps at the end of the jetty. Small bach in the next bend of the bay centre left. Photograph taken by Robert Percy Moore. Description: A low waterfall and a wide river with bush in the background. There is a camp site with tents among the trees to the right, with several figures. Two people are standing at the top of the falls and a man is seated by the riverside in the right foreground. This watercolour was formerly catalogued as being the work of "Dr Devede", a misreading of the inscription on the verso "Dr [blank space filled in by a later hand with Berggren] Swede" Other Titles - Devede, Dr. Falls on the Taheke, Hokianga Dr Berggren was a Swedish botanist who visited New Zealand in 1874-1875.
