Description: There are 83 sermons in all, annotated with a number, date and church where it was preached, the text and often the occasion of the Church year. Also includes a postcard, two invoices and Holy Bible inscribed "Mary Mackie, 1857". Source of title - Supplied title The earlier sermons were delivered at churches in the lower North Island, but there is a substantial series of weekly sermons preached at All Saints' Church, Foxton between Nov 1876 and Dec 1877; these coincide with the curacy of the Reverend Francis Sherriff and for this reason the collection has been ascribed to him. Description: The memorandum book describes Ronaldson himself, instructions on how to conduct yourself on board ship and what appear to be exercises on aspects of practising religion, and other matters. The diary begins 26 August 1845 until 12 May 1850 when Ronaldson sighted the Isle of Wight on his voyage to England and includes much material on Wanganui Maori as well as descriptions of shipboard life between New Zealand and Australia on the Sisters (1849), and from Sydney to London on the Kate (1850).
