Description: Five pistons, a valve and a connecting rod, hand-cast by Burt Munro as parts of a motor-bike engine. In addition, three Indian motorcycle badges in two different designs. One bears the logo 'Indian / New Zealand Indian owners 2011'. The badge designs are different in that the 2011 one is a profile of an American Indian chief wearing full head-dress; the other two, cast from the same mould, are of a long-haired American Indian's face, wearing a single feather and grinning broadly The pistons were made by Munro for his racing Indian and Velocette motorcycles. They were hand-cast using sand from local beaches in a variety of receptacles, including tin cans. They were then finished using a file and lathe Quantity: 10 curio(s).
