Description: Illustrations of a kangaroo, a koala, a kiwi, and bluebirds. Also includes some sketches or caricatures of the artist and Nola Luxford. Drawings at A-428-041 and -042 show the kangaroo and koala studying a map that shows Australia and New Zealand. Drawings at A-428-054 and -055 shows caricatures of the artist, and one of Nola Luxford. Most of these illustrations were not used in the final publication, and may have been intended for a sequel. Three typescript pages accompany the artworks, and are housed in a folder preceding A-428-036. These are: a letter from Percy Spender of the Australian Embassy thanking Nola for a copy of her book; a letter from Josiah Francis the Australian Consul general also thanking Nola for a copy of the book; an a typescript page of biographical notes about Nola Luxford.
