Description: Programme with photographs of some team members, and biographical notes about all members of each team. West Coast players photographed include: C McBride, J Newton, and R Aynsley. There is a photo of J A Redwood, president of New Zealand Rugby League. There is also a short historical section with a list of some West Coast Kiwis 1919-1949, some of them with photographs. Robert Guilford Houston, a schoolboy who made the national team, is also pictured, as are K Mountford, the late W Kirk, R Nuttall, W A Smith, L Hunter. Description: Contains material collected by Ken English during his time as a New Zealand Rugby League representative player and official, and manager of the Wellington Show Association. Material includes event programmes, photographs, and administrative records: inward correspondence, internal memoranda, scrapbooks, financial statements, and original and photocopied newspaper clippings relating to his career. Photographic prints depict people, events from the late 1940s until the 2010s. Photographs are taken by Photo News Ltd, N.Z. Newspapers Ltd, Photography by Woolf, K. E. Ken English was the Manager of the Wellington Show Association 1967-1980. Description: Material relating to English's Rugby League career. Contains correspondence, newspaper clippings, and business documents. Correspondence includes a photocopy of a personal letter from English to a police colleage ("Ferg") while on tour in England and France in 1951. It includes a personal report on the matches, followed by a lengthy discussion of the Battley fingerprinting filing system as used at Scotland yard, and a newer system used at Glasgow Police Department. Other correspondence includes congratulatory letters from the New Zealand Rugby League regarding his life membership, and an invitation to the Wellington Rugby League' centennial celebrations in 2012. Other documents include Minutes of the 71st (1980) Annual General Meeting of the New Zealand Rugby Football League, terms of reference for a new executive position within the League, a working sheet for trophy engravings, and a copy of the book "An illustrated history of Wellington Rugby League 1919-2012" autographed by some past players.
