The caption states that "Modern-styled furniture of limed tawa inlaid with paua shell was made by disabled servicemen for the Queen's bedroom. ....this room is carpeted in warm beige and has window drapes of candlelight pink satin. The brocade bedspread repeats the delicate opalescent tints of the paua shell star that surmounts the head of the bed.
