Description: Drawing of a South African water rail standing on the ground with one leg raised. The plumage on the crown, back and wings is brown. The cheeks, breast and underparts are slate grey lightly streaked with brown. The underbody towards the tail and under side of the tail are brown with white stripes. There is a touch of white on the wing where it joins the body and white under the bill, which is pinkish red. Description: Drawing of a bird (Gallinula or moor hen) standing on the ground amongst tall grass. The plumage on the back, wings and upper tail feathers is a dull brown, and on the head, breast, under tail and underparts, a bluish grey. The legs are reddish pink, and the long bill and eyes are a greenish yellow. There is a patch of red on the underside of the bill near the head. Beneath the title is a one inch scale.
