Description: Album of photographs relating to members of the Student Christian Movement in New Zealand who attended conferences and camps between 1922 and 1935. The only person identified in captions was Dr John Raleigh Mott, an American who was closely involved with establishing the Student Christian Movement all around the world, and who attended the New Zealand leaders' conference at Waikanae in 1926. Two others have been identified by a family friend. They are the Rev. Herbert Newell, and Eaton Hurley. Conferences and camps were held all over New Zealand, including Ashburton (1922-23); Solway (1923-24, and 1926-27); Waimate (1924-25); Cambridge (1925-26); Dr. Mott's leaders' conference at Waikanae (1926); Brighton, Hutt Park and Campbell's Bay (all held in 1927); Campbell's Bay and Brighton (in 1928); Feilding (1930-31, and 1934-35); Bombay (1932-33); and Geraldine (1933-34). There are also photographs of the World Student Christian Federation Conference in Java in 1933. Includes correspondence, invoices, meeting minutes, menus, and draft programmes. Title supplied by Library. Quantity: 1 folder(s). Processing information: The material was orginally housed in a black plastic spiral ringbinder, and grouped in individual plastic sleeves. The folder was labeled "Jewish Women NZ Conferences 2004 2007". The papers were removed from the folder and sleeves and put into acid free folders for conservation reasons. Papers from each plastic sleeve were grouped in acid free paper. The black folder was not kept.

Description: Contains photographs of men associated with the New Zealand Dairy Board that were published in the 'New Zealand Dairy Exporter' magazine. Photographs mainly taken 1970-1984, by Don & Beatrice Peat Studio, Fenwick, Greig Royle, Lindberg Photography Ltd, Taranaki Newspapers Ltd, and unidentified photographers. Also includes four copy prints of photographs taken earlier, and one colour print from 1998. Most prints have annotations on reverse identifying people depicted, their relationship to the Dairy Board, dates, events and some publication information. From ca 1890-1970, images are portraits of formative or influential Dairy Board members, associates and politicians including Alexander Stuart, Sir William Goodfellow, A H Ward, Sir Andrew Linton, and Douglas Carter. The 1924 image is a group photo of the first Dairy Board. From 1970 onwards, the images have been taken at various Dairy Board regional and national conferences. They depict successive Dairy Board chairmen addressing delegates, conference audiences, and small groups of men posing together or in conversation. Also includes one group portrait of 1971 Dairy Board. Other people depicted include regional ward delegates, Ministers for Agriculture, and members of associate groups including the New Zealand Co-operative Dairy Company. Publication note - prints were lent as a research resource to author Clive Lind for 'Till the cows came home: Inside the battles that built Fonterra', Steele Roberts, 2013 Source of title - Title supplied by Library Arrangement: Arranged by the archivist in loose chronological order. The 'New Zealand dairy exporter' was the Dairy Board's official magazine. It was established in 1925 as the 'New Zealand dairy produce exporter' and has changed titles several times since. Description: Photographs of conference groups of the Registered Master Builders Federation and its previous manifestations. Included are the presidents of the New Zealand Institute of Architects and the New Zealand Builders Federation photographed together at the time of a conference in Timaru in 1905. Other conference groups are Christchurch (1920), Dunedin (1926), Wellington (1927), Hermitage Mount Cook (1929), Rotorua (1935), Timaru (1937), Palmerston North (1938), Hamilton (1939), Wellington (1940), the Jubilee Conference at Napier in 1950, Wellington (1953), and Timaru (1958). Other photographs are undated, and unidentified, but relate to conferences held in the 1960s and 1970s.
