McVilly Shield (Running)

Trophy for an annual club relay running race held at the Wellington Provincial Championships. First presented circa 1912 and competed for by various amateur clubs in the region. it was presented in 1925 for the winner of harrier races of teams of four. The donor was R W McVilly, president of Scottish Harriers and Amateur Athletics Club in the early 1920s. Circa 2016 the race became a fun relay.
