Description: A woman with a baby is sheltering behind a wind break at a beach in Whangarei Harbour, and a small boy is leaning over the fence to play with the baby (frame 1). A man and a woman are seen outside a house, probably in Hikurangi township (frames 2 to 5). An old woman (kuia) is seen in a quilted dressing gown, sewing in a house (frame 6). She has been identified by Hugh Karena as Rangi Karena Wiki (Rangitaupua Wiki Karena). Frames 7 to 11 show men and women at work in the Hikurangi Co-operative Dairy Company.
