Bishop, Maurice Rupert, 1944-1983

Grenadian revolutionary and leader of the new Jewel Movement that came to power during the revolution in 1979. He was head of the People's Revolutionary Government of Grenada from 1979-1983. Bishop was shot in 1983 during a coup by a military junta group.
