Tricolour carbro prints

Photographic prints made from color separation negatives printed as three bromide prints, each of which is then pressed against a sensitized carbon tissue of the appropriate color. The tissues are then superimposed to create the final colour photograph. Chiefly used ca 1900-1930s.

Some photographs are mounted on board, and some may have been framed. Photographs of the young Lorna Rowland include a three-colour carbro print probably made in the mid to late 1920s.
