Mountain House Shelter (Tararua Forest Park, N.Z.)

Holdsworth Mountain House

Tramping shelter on the Gentle Annie Track between Holdsworth Lodge and Powell Hut on the Mount Holdsworth - Jumbo Circuit in the Tararua Forest Park.

A hut named Mountain House stood on the site from as early as 1907 until circa 2001. The present shelter was prefabricated offsite by the Wellington Tramping and Mountaineering Club, and carried in to the site by helicopter, to replace the hut.
