Fareham House (Featherston, N.Z.)

A 15 bedroom homestead situated at 80 Underhill Road, Featherston. Built for William Barton (sheep farmer and JP) and Lucy Barton in 1894.

Taken over in 1945 by Child Welfare Department. Sold in 1981 to Wycliff Bible Translators and then into private ownership.

A listed New Zealand Historic place (#2865).
