Richmond Brook Station (Marlborough Region, N.Z.)

Farming property south-west of Seddon and south of Blenheim, on Richmond Brook, on the south side of the Awatere River. Bought in 1848, and has remained in the Richmond family since then. Contains a private garden, developed by Yvonne Richmond, which featured in "New Zealand Gardens Open to Visit" produced by Jillian and Denis Friar from 1994 to 1998.

Description: Transparencies of woolsheds in New Zealand, taken by Geoffrey Thornton or Jocelyn Thornton. Each slide mount is annotated with the location, and sometimes the date of construction, of the woolshed. Dates and photographer name are sometimes annotated. Title supplied by Library. Slides are not dated. Arrangement: Transparencies were arranged in a metal case labelled 'Woolsheds slides', with 12 compartments, each able to hold approximately 8 slides. No arrangement order has been identified. Quantity: 24 colour original transparency/ies. Physical Description: Colour transparencies in plastic and cardboard slide mounts. Processing information: Slides have been removed from container and put into archival pockets, following the original order, from left to right and top to bottom.
