Description: Panoramic view of "Watchman View", a large two-storeyed wooden house on a rise above the road in the centre of the image. Verandah around the ground floor, upstairs verandah in centre with glassed-in-corners. Tiled roof, attic dormer. Lawn in front of house with established shrubs on the left. Houses along the street to the right of the house. Boats visible out in Auckland Harbour on the far left. Taken by Robert Percy Moore. The people on the lawn are: left seated James “Jim” Jack Grevatt (later killed in World War Two; left seated on the grass June Mary Grevatt; right standing Roie Nancy Josephine Grevatt; right seated Minnie Rose Grevatt; right in his mothers’ arms John ‘Jack’ William Grevatt (served in World War Two).
