Vogel House (Lower Hutt, N.Z.)

House at 75 Woburn Road, Lower Hutt. Jocelyn Vogel gave this house to the Crown to mark 100 years of Parliament in Wellington in 1965. Designed in 1933 by Helmore and Cotterill. For a short time the official residence of the Prime Minister (1977-1990). Remains a ministerial house. In 2008 the governor-general moved into 'Government House Vogel' for four years while Government House Wellington was restored.
