Description: Photographs of the 1907 fire at Parliament Buildings, Wellington. The photographs show crowds watching the building burn down; rescued furniture in the grounds of Government Buildings, including one depicting James McGowan; interior and exterior scenes of damage caused to the building; and images of firemen attempting to put out the fire. Collection also includes a photograph of an unidentified ship in Wellington Harbour. Prints made ca 1980s by Alan C Smith from glass plate negatives taken in 1907 by an unidentified photographer.
