Description: Photograph taken by an unidentified photographer, circa 1930's showing a mixture of stylised folk art and traditional Maori carvings rendered on the bargeboard and bargeboard supports of a Whakatane meeting house. Of note is a mixed style carving of a mermaid-like Victorian lady. Inscription on print mount reads "NO NEG [negative]". Inscription on print verso reads "Meeting house near Whakatane". Quantity: 1 b&w original photographic print(s).
