In the first, a green-skinned monster with an operation scar on his head happily carries his removed brain away from hospital in a jar, farewelled by a smiling doctor and nurse. The second cartoon shows a radio announcer or sound engineer wearing headphones and cords, standing on a plank from the high window of a radio station. His colleague tells him he can step down. This may result to the firing of an Auckland radio announcer. The verso shows a rough pencil sketch of Bill Birch as a moustached magician pulling a rabbit out of a hat.
