Description: View from a low rise looking across the Torrens River towards the houses, businesses and industrial buildings of Adelaide, with a range of hills beyond. Title and date in the hand of the artist. Also other notes along the base of the drawing. They are in a mixture of English and German, some identifying features, some colour notes, including “Sand” and “Schlamm” [mud]. From left, the River Torrens is identified, then two less legible words, one possibly 'Scottish Kirche' [Scottish Church], the other possibly 'Governor' (Governor's residence - below a building flying a flag), then 'Leg[islative] Council', 'Eisenbahn' [railway], and 'Park'.
