Description: Topographical map showing an area between the Cobb and Takaka Rivers at top section of the map and Mataki Stream, The Growler and Hodge Creek at the bottom section of the map, within the Flora Survey District. Shows additional creek and stream names, spot heights, G.S.Camp, and Chaffey Hut. Parallel running, orange coloured, broken lines suggest the location of tracks. Black broken lines edged in pink colour are identified by an annotation stating 'serpentines and other aqueous rocks edged in pink'. Small green swirls are also drawn in various places across the map possibly indicating the bush line. No legend exists to identify the meaning of these. An area located in the centre of the map by black broken lines and divided by Asbestos Creek contains the information, C26 and 146 acres. Red ink markings are indentified as Evan's cut, tunnel 60 feet, trench, quarry, Holland's and trench. A penciled annotation written along side this area says, 'general strike of asbestos country'. A note at the bottom of the map states 'C26 is bounded by Crown lands on all sides'.
