Description: A road in the foreground, with large native trees, including tree ferns, looking down into Le Bons Bay, towards its entrance. The view is probably taken from the flanks of Mt Brazenose This watercolour was copied by the Library while still in family ownership, before its donation to the Library. The title given by the family was Akaroa showing Mt Brasenose [Brazenose]. It has subsequently been identified as being from Mt Brazenose behind Akaroa and looking east into Le Bons Bay, rather than west or south into Akaroa Harbour Includes a ruled pencil line inside the edge of the sheet of paper, with watercolour edges of the work beyond the line.
