Also known as either 'Horseshoe Gully', 'Siberia Curve' or 'Siberia Gorge'. A notoriously difficult section on the Rimutaka Incline (now known as the Rimutaka Rail Trail).

Description: Shows carriages and passengers falling downhill into a gully, after the Greytown to Wellington train derailed. The words First class can be distinguished on the side on one carriage, with Mount Cook on the side of the engine. Two people are clinging to the railway line and another eighteen are shown tumbling down the hill amongst the carriages, hats and luggage. he accident occurred on 11 September 1880, on the Wairarapa side of the range, at a place popularly called `Siberia', as the train ascended towards the summit.
