Description: Shows a beached mohiki (raupo canoe) in the left foreground. A swampy plain with hills in the background. Mt Domett, Eyre, Kohurau and Ormond peaks identified. The names Te Awawakamau and Runangamoki are no longer in current use. Mantell is probably showing either the Te Awa-whakamau creek above the Kurow River, or the Te Awamoko, a tributary of the Waitaki River (both these names appear in the Andersen placenames card index) Other Titles - Te Awawhakamau Quantity: 1 drawing(s).
