From: Medley, Mary Catherine, 1835-1922 :Sketchbook no. 11. 1892-1893.

Reference: E-373-043

Description: A woman driving a trap with two horses, drawn over a sketch map showing the Kotukutuku Stream and (possibly) the Taukete Stream, with blocks of land subdivided and assigned to a number of owners with the names George, Beard, Ellis, Selwyn and Todd. The numbers assigned to each block are either prices or the acreage. They range from 340 to 3000. The name Taukete was not traceable in maps and gazetteers. There are several Kotukutuku Streams, mostly in remote areas of the Urewera Ranges. The most likely site appears to be a stream of this name on flatter land in Central Hawkes Bay, south of Kereru. Quantity: 1 drawing(s). Physical Description: Pencil in sketchbook, 130 x 360 mm. Finding Aids: Shelflist/inventory available - copy with sketchbook..
