Description: Various materials donated by Reverend Allan Ross Wards, the Vicar of several Anglican parishes in the Wellington Region. Photographic contents include slides of New Zealand Methodist and Anglican churches collected circa 1961 to 1972 with accompanying transcripts about their history, photographs of church organs, slides of Wellington and the Hutt Valley taken by Barry Doig of the Waiwhetua Presbyterian Church in the 1960s, and two albums of colour photographs taken by Wards circa 1990s of views around Wellington. Printed materials include issues of The Ch'Art, a serial publishing Christian art, ranging from 1972 to 1982, published monographs of Australasian atlases and Christchurch scenery, annotated school song books for Hutt Valley High School, a manuscript diary of the a Port Chalmers Vicar from 1916-1919, and typescript letters and diary entries of a Vicar's wife in Lower Hutt circa 1860s. Further materials include unpublished and published audiocassettes and phonographic records containing sound recordings of New Zealand preformers, choirs, bands, and wedding services, and an order of service for laying the foundation stone of Auckland's Cathedral Church of the Holy Trinity by John, Bishop of the Diocese, 1957. Part of the Archive of New Zealand Music. Anglican vicar of several parishes in Wellington including St John's Wainuiomata, St Luke's Wadestown and St Mary's Silverstream.
