Pratchett, Terry, 1948-2015

British fantasy novelist. Born 28 April 1948, died 15 March 2015. Best known for his 'Discworld' series of novels. Awarded an OBE in 1998. Diagnosed with a rare form of Alzheimers disease, posterior cortical atrophy (PCA) in 2007. Knighted in 2009. Married in 1968 to Lyn Purvies, one daughter (see obituary The Telegraph, retrieved 7 April 2015).
