Description: Album of scenic views of Tasmania, Sydney and wider New South Wales, and of New Zealand, both North and South Islands. Views of lighthouses include Derwent Lighthouse (Tasmania), Macquarie Lighthouse (South Head, Sydney), and Farewell Spit Lighthouse (Tasman Region, New Zealand). The New Zealand photographs are nearly all taken by Josiah Martin, and include one that is a collage of scenes he photographed, and one of Maori weapons, with captions to say they were deposited [in Auckland Museum] by Captain Gilbert Mair. A photograph attached to the inside of the back cover is of the Farewell Spit Lighthouse, and was taken by the Tyree Brothers firm Source of title - Title supplied by Library Inscriptions: Album page - W.A. Photographs taken by Theodor Bloch who was a professional photographer in Nelson circa 1863-1888, and then in Victoria, Australia until circa 1891.
