Description: Four photographic prints pasted onto a board with captions, taken by an unknown photographer on 11 November 1967. The photographs show close ups and distance views of the orchestra in concert and are generally taken from the back right of the town hall. They are captioned: “Leonora No. 4 Overture” “Concerto Populare” “Young Lochnivar. Peter Read & Divina Whitehouse” “Concerto Populare (Pianist: David Galbraith)” There are various notations on the verso. Title taken from item. Inscriptions: Mount recto - bottom centre - NZBC Symphony Orchestra - 21st Birthday Concert, Wellington Town Hall - 11 November 1967, Hoffnung Works, Conductor: Juan Matteucci; Mount verso - bottom centre - Webster's Est 1919. Physical Description: Four black and white prints mounted on board, with captions, 74 x 66 cm. Processing information: These mounted photographs arrived at the Library in a frame. The frame was removed for storage and conservation reasons. The frame was not kept.

Description: Transparencies possibly taken by Beavis on an unknown date showing Japanese women, some of whom are pictured in kimono. The backdrops show scenic views of Mount Fuji, temples, and other scenes. Among this group are other tourist scenes including of mountain dogs and an Inuit woman and children. Also includes a transparency showing a portrait of Marilyn Monroe, taken circa 1950s. Also includes transparencies showing a man on a beach lounger holding an umbrella, which can be seen blowing away in some images. These appear to have been taken by Beavis on a Wellington beach circa 1970s. Transparencies showing Peter Read at the beach are continued at PA12-2985. Title supplied by Library. Arrangement: Slides delivered in housing with annotations that read "Japanese potters", "Marilyn Monrow cov. Golden Girl" and "Peter Read | Beach". Quantity: 22 colour original transparency/ies.
