Description: Two 'dumb' dogs chat over a newspaper which they have found in the street. One observes that Parliament is allowing party pills to be tested on dumb animals. To which the other ripostes 'Why don't they test them on the dumb animals that buy them!?' The Psychoactive Substances Bill 2013 had proposed that party pills, used for recreationally for 'legal highs', should be tested on animals before being proved safe. Many of the public and some in Parliament objected against the abuse of animals for essentially frivolous reasons. Animal protection groups staged protest marches in late July 2013 against this part of the Bill. Quantity: 1 digital cartoon(s).
