Includes inward and outward correspondence with New Zealand Customs and Rolex regarding a Rolex Oyster Perpetual watch worn on the1951 British Mount Everest reconnaissance expedition. Also correspondence with representatives of the Royal Geographical Society (E E T Day, Mumford) and The Himalayan Club (J Henderson, A R Leyden). There is also a memorandum from the Wellington Section of the New Zealand Alpine Club regarding a lecture by Edmund Percival Hillary. Photography is the subject of a number of letters. One letter from The Himalayan Club relates to the payment of Pasang Dawa Lama. Title transcribed from item.
