New Zealand National Party politician, born in 1965 in South Dunedin. First elected to Parliament in 2008 as a list MP for the National Party. From 2008 to 2017, Woodhouse unsuccessfully contested the electorate for Dunedin North. In the 2020 general election, Woodhouse contested the newly-established Dunedin electorate but was defeated by David Clark, however he was re-elected to Parliament on the National Party list and was announced as finance sokesperson. Woodhouse served senior roles in the John Key and Bill English-led Fifth National Government, including senior whip, Minister of Immigration, Minister of Transport, Minister of Police and Minister of Revenue. Prior to his career in politics, Woodhouse worked as an accountant and was CEO of Mercy Hospital in Dunedin from 2001-2008.
