Tatana, Hannah, active 1961-2015

Hannah Tatana is a New Zealand mezzo/contralto singer. Won second place in the Mobil Song Quest in 1961. Played the role of Maria in New Zealand Opera Company's production of "Porgy and Bess" in 1965. Following the tour of "Porgy and Bess" she travelled and performed in Australia, Europe and the United States. Married name Hannah Stappard. Later career teaching English, completed a Masters in International Relations in 2003. In 2015 living in Brighton, England where she was working in a hospice shop.
