J. Cassirer | E. Lyon-Claesen | Art-Publisher | Brussels | 8. Rue Berckmans'. Plates are all captioned in three languages (German, French, English) and numbered. The original publication comprised 80 plates, of which in this partial set there are 63 present. Imprint on each plate is "G. Félix Lenoir" lower left corner, and "Ch Juliot, éditeur, 22, rue des Ecoles, Paris." lower right corner. Printed by "Imp. Lemercier & Cie. Paris". This work appeared in several editions, published in Brussels and London from 1885, this Brussels edition is very likely dated from 1890. The plates are "tinted lithographs" with a flat tint of yellow or fawn, "resembling line drawings with a background wash or tint". See Bamber Gascoine, 'How to identify prints'.
