Description: Shows the wedge-shaped building on the corner of Riddiford and Rintoul Streets, housing the Langham Private Hotel, and a Dominion branch office attached to the premises of E Back & Company. There is a tram in the left foreground, and two small girls standing beside an open-topped car in the right foreground. Behind the tram a horse-drawn cart can be seen. Likely to date around 1911-1914. The Dominion newspaper began publication in 1907. The firm of E Back and Company occupied this corner site from about 1911 (after E Cramp & Co.).
