Description: Programme for a royal command performance shows the crest of King Farouk on the front cover. The inside centre spread shows the items of the programme by the R.A.F. Command Dance Orchestra, the Services' Choir, the Maori Choir, the New Zealand "Tuis", The Yacht Club Boys, and individual performers: British comedian Joey Porter, Lance Dossor and Gerald Gover, Lance Fairfax, Lou Fennard, Jasper Maskelyne, Lou Fagin, Yvette Morrissey and Arnold Dover, Ernest Arnley and Gloria Day. Other interior pages are each headed with the flag of a participating nation, with a list of participants, and holograph signatures of performers from each country: Britain, America, Royal Air Force, New Zealand, South Africa, Greece, Fighting France. One page contains thanks from the British Chamber of Commerce to the Egyptian Government for granting facilities at the Opera House and to Soliman Bey Naguib, its director. The New Zealand page shows the New Zealand flag, and the title of the performance "Alice Blue Gown", presented by the "Tuis". The soloist was Audrey Hol[d]gate.
