Description: Collection of a wide range of photographs relating to Poul Gnatt and other ballet dancers involved in international ballet productions, including The Royal Danish Ballet, The Borovansky Ballet and Australian Ballet amongst others, with images ranging from 1940s to 1980s by a range of largely unidentified photographers. Collection includes photographs of the following dancers and productions: - The Australian Ballet - a series of images documenting the first production outside of Scandinavia of the ballet 'Le Conservatorie', produced by Poul Gnatt for the Australian Ballet in 1965, with a set designed by Desmond Digby. Dancers featured include Kathleen Gorham, Kathleen Geldard, Gareth Welch, Marilyn Jones, Barbara Chambers, Barry Kitcher, Bryan Lawrence and Elaine Fifield. - Poul Gnatt auditioning and teaching children, most likely at the Australian Ballet School in Melbourne. Also images showing Gnatt coaching and teaching in Australia. - Scenes from dance productions in Belfast, Northern Ireland, including an image dated October 1947 featuring Cynthia Allegro. - Bolshoi Ballet - including images of both pas de deux and corps de ballet. - Borovansky Ballet - including images of Edouard Borovansky, Poul Gnatt and other dancers in costume for productions of 'The Sleeping Princess' and 'La Boutique fantasque' in 1952. - Stanislas Idzikowski coaching ballet dancers including Poul Gnatt. - Royal Danish Ballet dancers including Kirsten Ralov, Fredbjorn Bjornsson and Margrethe Schanne.
