Fiona Kidman describes interviews she produced for Radio New Zealand in the 1970's on literary figures, which included three hours of Denis Glover interviewed by Elizabeth Alley. Mentions his attitude to alcohol, his underlying sadness, and his 'behind the times' sexist attitudes that were displayed at events such as Fiona Kidman and Lauris Edmond's book launch. Describes Glover's disappointment at not receiving the 1980 New Zealand Book Award Poetry prize for his 'Banks Peninsular' sequence and the public repercussions of this.
