Description: Most photographs are unidentified. Mainly photographs taken during advance, etc on Faenza. Captioned photos include: Bridge of boats over River Sangro built by Indian sappers; first tanks to enter Rimini; Sherman tank of NZ Armoured Brigade; German POW; sawing wood in the snow; Ski patrol; flood damage; battle scenes and damaged buildings. Two photographs of dinner party given by Lt General Sir Richard McCreary, British 8th Army Commander. NZers included were Sgt J R Robinson, Pte Harry Parker, & A D Deavoll. On 2 Oct 1943 the New Zealand Division was moved from Egypt to support the 8th Army in Italy. Quantity: 31 b&w original photographic print(s).

Description: A scrapbook compiled by Robert Martin, covering his career from his service with the 1st Field Ambulance, New Zealand Medical Corps in 1937, his enlistment in the New Zealand Army in 1940 through to his discharge in 1946. Includes invitations, cuttings, receipts, travel vouchers, tickets, samples of Italian and British and Allied Military Authority banknotes, programmes, bank passbooks, leave notices, and greeting cards. Rear of book includes all of his personal official details, account numbers etc. Also pasted in are 18 'Airgraph' letters from his brother Graham Martin, and 12 'Airgraph' letters from his friends Colin John Arroll and Burnie Neville.
