The stubs of their former location are visible in the gutter of the volume.

Description: Map of eighteenth century Rome to the limits of its walls, with the Vatican included, top left. A vignette of Saint Peter's and St Peter's Square, lower left, and of Santa Maria Maggiore, lower right. Cupids hold the top corners of the map, and at top left there is a dedication to Cardinal Alessandro Albani, and below that a numbered key to the main features of the map, principally churches and palaces as well as significant fountains and statues or columns.
