Place names & historic features of Kapiti Island, including relics of whaling days at Wharekohu Bay showing ruins of stone house, stone walls and a stone-embanked stream channel, burial caves, Waiorua Valley showing the approximate site of Te Rauparaha's principal pā, and Motungārara Island where there was a subsidiary pā of Te Rauparaha. Ōtaki, Rangiātea Church (1925); carved whare at Puke-Karaka; Ōtaki Jubilee Pole; and old meeting house Uawhaki at Waikawa.
